Film Noir 2/10/12

This afternoon we made a 1 minute video in film Noir style. At group, I was thinking slowly about idea for a Story.  After that, I helped them to set up for lighting so I put the chairs and bags away to create space for lighting and actors. I was helping to them when they needed for a help for example; I help them for moving the table into the scene also to remove it when the film was finishing. I helped Harry to make a script about the police interrogating a suspect. We couldn’t start to make a film because they changed their mind due to that other group was in the same classroom as ours. So I opened the door for Harry took the lighting into other different classroom. I hold the microphone boom when we started a film. There were bad things about film progress because they were laughing when the actors made a mistake, forgetting his/her lines and made mistake movement. This meant we had to do lots of retakes. The first time video was imported into editing software I think its bit lame because the actors were not good enough to make a great performer. The final video, I think it was much better than first video because the actors and camera work were improved due to that we learned our mistakes. The Black and white effect on the video look went very well. I think we should have spent more time planning and then we would have made less mistakes.
