Analyse of music video in a day 9/10/12

We analysed the music videos from last week and talked about technical qualities, entertainment value and interpretation. Here is what I thought of the video.

• Brake:
•  Reverse footage was put in because they needed to make it longer! The lip sync was off- time. The editing was a bit off beat. The aggression and running fitted the track but was a bit slow for the style. Not enough close ups. I like the part of jump in with reverse because it look more creative. If I'm doing it then I would to make more beat style, more quick shots about fighting and running actions. I would add more scene for lip sync and to make a good ending.
  
• Globe alone:
•  Entertaining but people thought it was random and didn't make any sense. It fitted quite well with the song. The lip synch was pretty good. The pace of the action fit well with the pace of the music. The lip sync should have been more aggressive to match the song. the Location was boring. The camera was wonky. It looked unplanned but it needed to be planned to look random. This was my group's video if I was doing it again I would improve it by Camera movement, angle and bit more focus on Dancers. I would make more shots than 2 shots in the original video. I would improve the colour correction  and find better locations.
  
• This will be our year:
• The lip sync looked creepy and was out of time! The editing was pretty good and the general concept fit the theme of the song. The camera work was good with some interesting shot and they made an effort to find a decent location. It was a fun, jokey concept. It looked a bit like a scene from a movie but if the lip sync was better it would look more like a music video. I would Improve by lip sync, more locations, more scenes for lip sync, more close ups shots.
